Dogs have been known to chew on their own teeth for centuries.
The practice is believed to have been developed to keep people from chewing on their hands and feet.
But is it still an effective way to keep teeth clean?
When we were in the fifth grade, we learned to hold our teeth with a toothpick or a dental pick and then press them against each other with a mallet.
But that was pretty much the only way to clean them.
So why does the practice have such a stigma?
And how does it affect the health of dogs?
